Thank you to all the Patients able to join us today. We welcome the comments made and understand the concerns over access on the phones and the ability to make online appointments. As the meeting, we made the following commitments.
4 new members of staff being recruited, 2 already in place with the balance expected to be in post within next four weeks.
A new phone system has been contracted and this will benefit all locations with the Thomas Walker Centre going live first in the next three weeks.
The online appointment booking service will be back in full operation once the Practices have become one centre in the second week August
We have recruited an internal applicant to take up the role of Patient lead, Lynnette's role is to liaise with the Practice PPG's and Patients to listen and support communication and our service to you
In order to better support our Patients, the centre is to be know as TWMC ( Thomas Walker Medical Centre) and all Patients will be registered under this Practice as their main Practice, you will still have a named GP and for those who were with Dr Shoban or Dr Bailey, a nominated GP has been allocated which you are welcome to change if you wish.
We are confident that the Practice will be fully staffed and new system bedded in within the next two months.
Lynnette will be liaising with Patients to reinvigorate our PPG to allow us to maintain regular contact and updates.
